CAS 1543 (Ethical and Intercultural Leadership): Week 12 Guide
This week examines the influence of role models in shaping leadership values, behaviors, and decision-making. Students reflect on someone they admire, identify the leadership qualities they aspire to emulate, and evaluate their own impact as a role model to others. The activity encourages self-awareness and personal leadership development.
Role Model Reflection
- Write 3–4 paragraphs describing one of your role models.
- Address the following questions:
- Who is your role model?
- How did you come to know them (e.g., personally, through media, or another source)?
- What leadership qualities do you admire in them?
- How do you demonstrate or strive to develop those same qualities in your own life?
- Write one additional paragraph reflecting on your own role as a role model by addressing:
- What kind of role model do you believe you are to others?
- Why do you see yourself this way?
- Are you satisfied with the example you set, and why or why not?
